something about Persian culture u mite like to know :)

recently i had 2 to do an informative speech for my public speaking class.. cracked me head on what i could crap about without anybody knwoing that im crapping - safer that way u see? ;) so my cousin gave me a bright idea about Tarof! something very common among persians.. tho im no pro at it at all...

if u dont know about this crazee culture.. well Omid Djalili (Persian British Baha'i comedian) does a good interpretation of it! enjoy :)

My refuge..

things havent been a bed of roses lately..
so many emotions run thru me dat im not even sure of why i feel what..
i've never felt more alone..
nothing anyone says will help..
all i know is that this prayer is what i need to rmbr..

O God, refresh and gladden my spirit. Purify my heart. Illumine my powers. I lay all my affairs in Thy hand. Thou art my Guide and my Refuge. I will no longer be sorrowful and grieved; I will be a happy and joyful being. O God! I will no longer be full of anxiety, nor will i let trouble harras me. I will not dwell on the unpleasant things of life. O God, Thou art more friend to me than I am to myself. I dedicate myself to Thee, O Lord.
