now i feel so weird without it! the chain was my 20th bday prez frm my uni mates summor... no chain n pendant can replace it! *sob sob sob*

wow.. its been a month since i last updated! boy i suck! :p

anway... im lacked of sleep rite now..n my brain cant funtion to think about how 2 counsel ppl at the moment.. kennysia has not updated his blog.. so i shall update mine! so lame la..

rite.. dis sem i learn an old lesson i've still got 2 learn.. dont leave yr assignemnts for last min.. HAHA.. its like impossible laa.. i dunoo when will the day come when i finnish my assignemnts without staying up later then 1a.m.. *yeah im generous 2 myself* :p i dunoo how some ppl can do it.. i need 2 learn la.. im cravingg 2 sleep but i feel like a robot now..jz typing whatever words dat comes to my fingers.. i mean brain.. woopss!! wats wit procrastiantion n me lah? i tink we bcame good buddies ever since i went 2 skool.. yeah.. even in primary my work all last min one.. it continued to secondary n now uni.. hmmm.. such is my life... mayb i can change it if i REALLY want to.. mayb wen im older n get back painsreally easily..then i'll hv 2 consider la...

but i tink im getting used 2 staying up till mornin.. we even had 2 do an 'observation' of 24hr sleep deprivation (yeah things dis pyscho uni asks u 2 do la)... it was by far d easiest n weird thing i had 2 do as ''assignemnt'' 4 uni.. ppl actually thought i wouldnt make it u knw... hmph! look down on me la.. i stayed up for 25 hrs non-stop ok... peanutsss i say! :p
actually i think my body is gotten used to it.. but i still do luv 2 sleep.. in the mornings preferably.. dunoo why oso.. me a night person la.. but im so huingry rite now.. serves me rite 4 not finnishing my dinner jz now.. badd appetitte.. dat will b another post comin soon.. on my appetite! watch out 4 it ppl!!

yesh this facebook is addictive.. so addictive that while travel teaching in swak we kept taking photos tht will b cool 2 put on FB! and we even started recruiting ppl 2 join it.. pure madness.. but its lotsa fun.. i dunoo how poking ppl got so addictive.. n all those applications!!! being a pirate n wat not... then uploading pics n making comments about em...yeah u cant help it but 2 chek yr facebook every time u log in! =) so that's what been depriving me...
d other thing is also i cant blog wit ppl around me... its bit weird i think...its tough 2 get a decent privacy at home..and im the type dat doesnt like ppl interruptin me while im bloggin..not 2 say im a frequent one either.. but get d point?
anyway..finally 2day i get some privacy!! hopefully no one will come and open the door and say "LUNCH IS READY!"

anyway.. im too lazy 2 type PART 2 of the social even of the year.. it was suppose to be about travel teaching in swak wit my couzie vahdat... everything is still fresh in my memory.. but there is just wayy too much to type!! maybe one day when i have absolutely nothing in my life to talk about... then we shall reminicise about 'those days...'

semester ends andim counting the months till im done wit dis psycho course!! literally! i know i should probably be enjoying this time cuz working seems to be much worse then dis.. well i do enjoy the fact tht i get thurs n fri's off :) and i get student price for movie n all dat... dat is as far as it goes la.. hehe.. i try la 2 keep telling myself 2 make d best out of all dis.. i am trying OK!

nuff bout psycho..

the past few weeks were really messy n chaotic cuz my bro n amy were selling their stuff n packing 4 UK.. it was cool 2 hv em at home.. n goin tru old stuff.. wondering wat was i thinking when i drew tht??!! then suddenly its all packed up in boxes stored sumwhre and they are gone.. yeah they finally bought their tic left... sudden queitness in d house.. even the ride home was really quiet... yeah we miss em in our own ways.. my fam is not d type of expresing ourselves rite out anyway.. so its understandable..
boy now i cant wait 2 move out.. i tink it will do us all some good!! ;p

Social Event of the Year!!! Pt 1

wokeyh... sooooo much has happened lately..and i havent had d time to put anythin down.. it has been massive business d last month!!

lets start wit my family reunion... it was GREAT! my mom's side is hugeee...n dis time about 1/4 of them turned up n still it was massive lah! we all went to langkawi since d wedding was gonna b thre anyway.. and add in the sun, sand, sea, pool n good foood we had a wonderfull time 2gatha.. it was really interesting to find out about the history of my family and how much our ancestors have sacrificed for the Faith..means our tasks are even greater la now...so amazed la how rich my family history is..

of cuz nothing went all dat smooth... its impossible 2 make every1 happy! but overall it went well and everybody was happy 2 b 2gatha.. its VERY rare 2 c ALL of us at the same time..so it was very special dis event.. we had good fun playin and all dat jazz lah!

then was the BIG event...My bro n Amy got married!!!

even typing it gives me goosebumps cuz it was soooooooooooooooooooooooo beautiful the whole thing! bestest wedding ever! dat day was super busy... we all prayed so hard dat it wont rain, but it did slightly in d begining..still we roughed it out..by the time the ceremony started..the wind was blowing softly... sound of the waves in the background..the sun setting...both of them saying their vows.. was such a wonderfull moment!! beach wedding rox!

after tht was lots of singing, eating n of cuz dancing...i mean, hello..we got d persian blood in us.. how can we NOT dance?? it was non stop the whole nite..it was so hot tht some people decided to just jump in d pool and cool off.. frm then on my cousins started throwing ppl in d pool..i got saved the 1st time...but the next time was no mercy!! it felt good tho cooling off in d pool n heading bk up 2 dance again! :) we would have dance allll nite long if it werent 4 d hotel staff 2 tell us 2 stop cuz they had 2 clean up..

after burning all dat fat...about 40 of us headed out 4 some roti canai n milo ais at 3a.m!!

the next few days after dat was jz plain chilling by the beach which is wat i call LIFE! i cant imagine being anywhre else feeling tht way... soooooooooo beautifull, serene..

ahhhhh...finally i got my beach :)

im not the kind of person who wears heels to anywhre at anytime.. but since my bday was around d corner..n i thought i mite need some kinda shoes 4 me bro's wedding..might as well get some heels.. so went shopping wit my sis.. n wala.. behold my 1st eva heels!! my sis bought it 4 me 4 me bday! its surprisingly pretty comfortable 4 this high! i feel funny wearing it.. thus hv onli worn it once 4 my wonderful PS presentation. its colourful.. so kinda hard 2 match.. but i like it still... jz don tink i can survive wearing it 4 really long hours..i dont understand how some ppl hv 2 wear heels everyday or ever tht often! ask my bro.. he's too dumbfounded to why heels r so important 2 women!! i guess it makes u feel more confidant or sth.. hehe.. all in the mind!

bsides dat.. my sis bought another pair of shorter heels.. i wore it 2 uni.. n on d 1st day itself it got scratched.. :( i am so hopeless in this la..

well i finalieee got my long waited pair of ipanema sandals!! been waiting 4 it since day i had bad shopping wit yas..hehe..delayed gratification paid off rili cuz dis onli cossed me rm29.90! =)
they r really comfy.. n its gold!! i think it's very shick! heehee.. luv luv luv it!


feel like buying another pair.. need sth 2 go with my dress.. HAHA... im gonna b a shoeholic la..

actually it has almost been a week adi.. WEEEEE :) this month will b defintely exciting with d wedding n fam reunion..lots of DRAMA i anticipate.. and also cant wait 2 meet me couz's n whole lot of peepz.. double WEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
well now its lots of stress cuz i am so not organized.. hope this fam reunion will turn out ok.. i got so lil time 2 prepare for it.. so sket i miss out lil details.. even the prog is not finlised!! everyone has somethin diff 2 say about it.. susahhhh...

and how can i NOT b excited since i'll b at the BEACH! woohoo.. i miss the beach soo much.. cant wait 4 the sand, sea n double bonus if got hot guys.. haha.. very deprived here i must say.. d other day we were all discussing whre we can go 2 juz 'wash eyes'.. hehe.. best place 4 klang valley i'd say wuld b KLCC.. no? ;)

anyway.. rewinding back.. our last day of paper was hopefully the last time i will c 'dat lecturer'...can u imagine she came late 4 the exam!! seriously... talk about punctuality!! afat d paper..every1 had their own thing 2 do.. so bernice, kristi n me headed 2 dis restaurant near our uni which i've neva noticed b4 2 eat.. had d yummiest pizza la..the cheese can make yr mouth go watery..tis comin frm a non-cheese fan! yeap.. dat good! i jz so geramm i 4got 2 bring my camera (again!) cuz we were in such a mood 4 camwhoring b4 our test! hehe..

met up wit sara n all at bobby brown.. we spent about 3 hrs thre trying the make-up's learnin new stuffs.. i cant blive my self! finally got meself the eyeshadow n concealer.. my 1st eva branded make-up!! syokkkk..! hope i'll knw how 2 use em properly.. its not easy la all dis.. still new 2 it.. hehe..

i thought that it would b the last time i encounter someone like dat...little did i know this would happen again....

starting of the sem, it all seem fine... she was interesting, funny, n hell even nice! i dunoo wat came over her one day.. gotta give it to da sudden attendence of students for a quizz that gave her a shock of her life.. from then on everything went frm bad 2 worse...

every class was a non-stop nagging.. she could come in late, but if we did, it was hell frm her!! her eyes will b popping out... special effects thx 2 d enormous amount of eyeliner.. every few minutes if someone went out or thre was some noise..the nagging came in again... same old thing she will say over n over... but it didnt apply to everyone.. her focus was on those she didnt like...n dat i am still wondering how she chooses who she likes or not! how is it possible that a lecturer can b soooooo obviously biased??!!!

its hard 2 fight back when she has the attitude of 'DR Almighty'! cuz nothing she says is ever wrong... miss-knw-it-all isit? well i couldnt take it wen she couldnt say my name properly.. its astAni for heaven sake!! once is forgivable.. 3 times?? dats on purpose!

and after giving one big bloody lecture to us about being punctual....she can come in ONE hour late 4 class!!! on a saturday summor! and not even apologising??? whre is the JUSTICE??????

reformasi i say!! hehe... its not fair cuz if we were 2 complain, we wil bound 2 fail her subj.. this is exactly wat happened last time with another lecturer n we had 2 just keep our opinions 2 ourselves..
im just wondering... what did we do to make her hate us /me??? or isit just her nature?? jeez...
but thank god for 1 thing.. we did pretty ok for our presentation! *phew*

woke up pretty early for a sat mornin 2 go watch free movie (cages) with me akka n sam... he's da one who got da free tics btw.. it was not bad lah.. can watch it again on hallmark! hehe.. but i had nice twin seats which i used it all up.. :p

came bk home n cut me yummy mocha cake (thx 2 aunty rose!). soon the juniors youths started comin n we had our gathering.. played basketball wit em 4 a bit.. man i reali hv no stamina.. dis kids r too fast 4 me! a call frm thailand came.. me frens all sang 4 me... soooo goood 2 hear frm em!! i miss my narak fren sooo much man!

by the time we finnish playing..had 2 rush n pack 2 get ready to go n stay at my sis's plc.. it was jz gonna b a few of us chilling at her new plc..
little did i know that her apartment was filled with FRIENDS! it was a surprise partieee!!! i totally had no ideaaa... was sooo shcoked! it was the bestest feeling EVA! slowly during d night i could recall bits n pieces of weirdness dat happened during d week... it was kev, muli, n neda who tot of it n along wit nosrat, anusia n whole lot of othrs they planned it..
one HUGE BIG THANK U n HUGSSS 2 em' 4 all the work they did!!
its soo not easy plannin this.. n they did it verri well.. so did every1 else who knew about it! im speechless for all they did... i'd never tot anyone wuld throw a surprise 4 me.. thank u 2 all who came!! we had a reali gut time last nite.. n im still in a daze of all dat has happened!

this weekend has been the most interesting, happening, fantabulous, i-dunoo-wat else-can-xpress-it wekkends i've had ever!

it started out by going 2 BENTONG wit mat n kristi.. since kristi stays thre we decided 2 chek her plc out n see it 4 ourselves! well..must say our d'tour 4 shoppin did make us go pretty broke...its sooo tempting lah!! but the best thing about going 2 bentong was seeing the scenery... (f.o.c!) just so breathtaking lah seeing the trees under the sunlight.. looking at the stars at night till our necks hurt... dipping our feet in the hot springs then chilling by cold running river... everything was BE.U.TI.FOOOL! plus we ate loads...thx 2 kristi who kept bringin us super nice food plcs!! (so gerammm i forgot 2 bring my cammera..!!!)

afta dat went n meet up wit sara,kev,muli,geetha,leena, n pravin. stuffed ourselves with pizzzas n headed 2 watch NEXT.. it was a verry geramm movie cuz of the endin.. dats all i got 2 say.
then rushed to go 4 childrens class... the kids sang happie b'day 4 me..was shooo sweeet.. my cake was a tiny lil cupcake which they all got 2 nibble on it.. hehe..
as if my day was not nuff.. headed 2 Suku's 4 drinks with my peepz.. stayed thre till it was midnite n got 20cents off the bill... hehe... :)

so friday was our last day of the 2nd sem of YR1.. it was almost hell with all that work and stress we had..but we also had our good times..

so rite afta our last paper..and collecting our assignements..we headed 2 MAKAN! it took us awhile to decide what 2 eat cuz all had diff taste n all.. sounds familiar? well we ended up eating in this Korean restaurant... it was OK la.. they had fahney names tho for their food!

well afta a lot of 'othr' palnning and waiting.. we finally got to play FUTSAL! weeeeeeeee.. its been sooo looong since i last played.. we had a good mix of guys and gurls.. and bot one hour was more then nuff 2 make us all soo exhausted!!
i t was a reali gud game tho... had lotsa fun.. seeing aaron's shoes flying twice.. priceless... haha!! n i finally manage 2 score a goal afta how looong... woohoo!! 1st goal for me team summor ! :)

today, i was hurrying to go for my lecture coz as usual i was late and i had a quiz to take..

as i reached my block, i was on my way to take the lift, when i looked on my right n saw this guy sitting on the bricks smoking. he looked exaclty just like my friend who got his hair cut almost botak few weeks ago. so naturally, i went like 'hey!' n nodded my head... tht feller oso nodded his head..

then i noticed sumthin was not right, that guy was not the friend that i thought it was!! in fact, i don even knw who dis dude was la.. ive just seen him around b4...

i quickly raced up to the lift looking just straight ahead.. so didnt want 2 see him laughin at me (if he was)...

for the record: this has been the latest so far i've stayed up to finnish my assignment in my degree programme! its 4:35 a.m.. n im still goin slow on it.. got about 24 hrs more 2 get em all done! crazeeeeeeeee.....

so this is life of a degree student.. esp when u procrastinate!! hence the bolgging..

rewind back 2 d day b4 valentines.. Priya left 4 Melb.. :( thre goes another frennie.. n we made a prez frm a mirror frame wit loads of pics of us.. hehe.. but i 4got 2 give her the stand.. give u wen u come bk 4 hols k?!



then after tht was CNY!.. this yr was pretty quiet..didnt do much visiting as compared to last year...mostly just visited my frens! 1 day was the coll gang.. the next was high skool buddies.. it was a gud 2 catch wit em.. i noticed just how small our crowd became cuz many have left overseas..
went 2 v.vern's new hse.. oh boy it's sooo niceee n bigggg!!! we were like tourists in his hse.. camwhoring like nobody's biznesh.. even in the bathrooms which were so poshy!! practically everywhre we went in his house we got a pic of it.. me n eileen went crazeee la! btw.. his hse has d longest curtains i've seen so far.. d interior designer did an awesome job la.. eileen n laimai posing at d wall..they fit in jz nice thre!
tht's us.. all well coloured co-ordinated! xcept 4 v.v but its ok since he was d host!

after CNY was ayyam-i-ha!!! dis year had pre ayyam-i-ha celebration @ 1u wit close frens cuz wasnt gonna b seein em for quiet a bit afta dat.. then our community had picnic @ puchong park.. played basketball after how many years.. n our team won!! haha.. i'd say it was luck.. n some skill thre.. after tht had nice prez frm raveen- MPO family fun day concert.. yeap i enjoyed it.. was awesome! ran like hell so tht we were on time! made cookies n bookmarks 4 uni mates since it was ayyam-i-ha.. glad they like it! shuld hv made more laa..

n PEk leaves for sydney.. man im gonna miss her lots cuz she wont b bk for a looong time.. :'(

artsy fartsy nails!

something came over me one day that made me go find nail polish and start 2 deco my nails.. i guess i had nothing better to do, so i decided to venture out and try something new.. hehe.. and look what turned out!

V-day came n went just like that this year...again..afta graduating frm high skool it has bcame just another day to me... last time in skool it used to be one of d most happenin days coz weeks before we would be busy making the presents and getting orders from students... then on the day we would skip classes to deliver the orders.. it was real good fun!! on top of dat we would give each other lil prezies n roses pretending it 2 b frm our 'so-called' admirers... those were d good ol times!!

but now.. well lets say it has become more of S.A.D - single awareness day..as JJ n Rudy puts it.. lucky me i had full day of classes 2 keep me busy.. and at nite we went 2 meet some baha'i pioneers frm china..it was all good..
im happy 2 b surrounded by frens n sibs who r thre 4 me..

r we prejudiced?

lately in our social psych class we have been discussing about prejudice, discrimination n stereotyping.. we even had 2 watch Crash and do a review about it... from the movie(which is an awesome movie btw), we see that all of us prejudiced people, wheather we like it or not... we stereotype people because it is convenient for us to 'figure' them out... think about this..




but we were not born prejudiced... small chlidren are the purest humans..they do not care who you are, as long as you love them, they will love you back.Bahá'u'lláh has also taught that prejudices, whether religious, racial, patriotic or political are destructive to the foundations of human development. Prejudices of any kind are the destroyers of human happiness and welfare. Until they are dispelled the advancement of the world of humanity is not possible, yet racial, religious and national bias are observed everywhere. For thousands of years the world of humanity has been agitated and disturbed by prejudices. As long as it prevails, warfare, animosity and hatred will continue. Therefore if we seek to establish peace we must cast aside this obstacle, for otherwise agreement and composure are not to be attained (Abdu'l-Baha, Baha'i World Faith - Abdu'l-Baha Section, p. 240)if we want to make this world a better place, it always has to start with our self.. by being aware that we have our prejudices and we do sterreotype people is the 1st step to stop being prejudiced. once we are aware.. i think the liklihood of us discrminating or stereotyping someone else will be much less.. it is so bloody hard sometimes, because we already have preassumed things of people when we see them.. but if we look at their positive side, it will help us to love them. if a person has 9 bad qualities and 1 good quality, we should always focus on that good quality and try to grow from there.this is also why children should be educated from young to love everyone, regardless of color, religion, size, etc... so that when they grow up, they wont be prejudiced people...
after all humanity was created from the same stock...
so spread the love ya'll..!!

New Year's adventure...

this is such a late post... but before jan ends.. i just wanna wish ya'll hapy new year! and may this year be full of love and adventure... :)

as for my new years celebration.. it was my first time spending it in another country wit my couz's n sis.. definitely something different! we were all at my gram's place in Bukittinggi.. which is a very small town.. a lil bit better than a village but still not close 2 being a city..

people were already out in the afternoon.. going to the main area which is the Jam Gadang (translation: big clock).. we decided to go chek it out when it was 11pm.. since we had nothing 2 do at home..
we walked out of the house n when we reached the main road..boy was it packed with human beings, cars n motorbikes!! we continued squashing with every1 n headed up... there were poeple EVERYWHRE.. some were already sitting on the curbs sleeping.. they even brought their babies along 2 endure dis.. poor kids.. we just couldnt understand why they bothered to come out if they were tired and wanted to sleep.. must b ke po chi's.. hehe.. (if u look closely at d pic u can c the clock in the left)

anyway we manage 2 reach d top whre the clock is after being squashed, lost n wat not.. we wanted to go 2 the hotel nearby but decided not, cuz it thre was a sea of ppl we wuld had 2 get tru.. so we bought ourselves
TEH BOTOL as our last drink for 2006, n 1st for 2007.

Then before even the clock hit 12a.m, people were shooting firecrackers from everywhre.. so dangereous cuz we almost got hit by em..!! but thre were some tht were pretty nice la.. nuthin beats those huge ones we have here tho! by the time the clock hit 12a.m, people had run out of their firecrackers, so thre was less of it.. n the onli thing dat happen 2 the clock was dat it lit up with white light.. no one was jumping n screaming happy new year.. they didnt even have a countdown!! every1 was focused wit their camera phones taking pics of the clock.. totally weirdd!! we stood there dumbfounded....


it was like a culrute shock for me n my sis... our new year eve had just passed like that.. n our legs were so tired of walking n standing!! so we heaed 2 dat hotel which we wanted 2 go earlier n chilled thre b4 we started on our 'journey' back.
on the way we bought murtabak (choc, cheese n durian.. uughh!) jz for fun n nabil kept insisting d dude 2 put durian in..




so yeah dat was about it la.. ThAt was My NeW YeaRs EvE celebration in Bukittinggi...

Raleigh Intro Weekend Camp

after such a looong time i finally got 2 go camping 4REAL again! weeeee...! it was last min stuff tho.. but thank god i got it.. Raleigh Intro Weekend Camp is sth i've heard from limei.. n yeah i thought i wuld b cool 2 test my physical n mental strength.. fuyoh...
anyway it was tough yet fun camping for 2days.. we made our own shelter.. which i think was not bad cuz every1 could fit into it even tho we were pretty squashed up! yeah our team DELTA was the onli team with most ppl (11)! n we had sum pretty awesome weird cheers for our grp.. char kuey tiow included!

we had lots of challenges to go tru.. it was interestin.. now i realli know how blurrr i am lah! some tasks were simple for us.. d othrs were almost impossible! but we stuck tru.. got all muddy at 1 point too.. yyummm.. ;p

our food intake for 2days were army packed food.. the packaging not very the best lookin la..but the food inside was actually not bad! tho d rice we should hv let it cooked longer cuz we were eatin it like cookies (as alvin puts it!)..but i gotta thank May for 'pinjaming' her mess tin 2 me cuz i had no idea wat it was n brought a tupperwear instead! hehe...

btw there are NO toilets or privacy plc to bathe/ change/ pee.. we just had 2 find some bushy plc..lil bit away frm civilization n DO It! hehe.. lucky our grp had sarongs..came in VERY handy..cuz tht's whre we'd change.. it was fahney cuz everyone is around n doin their own stuff while we took turns changin..

hey we even hiked Bukit Kutu (wat a name la!) for like 12 hrs or so.. we were 3/4 up.. then the rain poured so hard we coulndt hike to reach d top.. mayb got lots of kutu thre.. hehe..im so thankful dat Michelle(our leader 4 trecking) didnt get lost n got us 2 our 'pit stop'.. terror la she! so frm daylight 2 darkness we were in d jungle... i almost gave up la.. but cannot let me team down wat!! no regrets on dat cuz in d end it was all good.. gettin muddy n dirty.. sliding down the hill...lookind at d beautifooool stars.. crossing freeeezin cold water...bitten by leeches...playin panguin game n tangle in middle of d nite..goin tru all of it wit me team mates.. awsomenesss!

Youth Conferance @ Puncak

The whole reason for me going 2 Jkt was actually for this Youth Conf.. i've actually never been to one.. i was too young to go for the ASEAN ones.. now thre isnt anymore.. :(

anyway Baha'i youths frm acrozz indon came 2 attend this.. we had it in Puncak, freeeeeeezing plc cuz it was up in the hills.. the fog was right in front of us.. if we opened the windows, we could c it cmin in!! we were sooooo cold.. tht while we were having our discussions, we had wrapp ourselves in blankets!
yeap..tht's how cold it was.. takin a shower..was like bathing with ICE! i dunoo how ppl could shower like twice a day...... i almost froze 2 death while bathing!


neway it was soo cool 2 meet youths frm all over indon.. lots of em knew either my sis's or bro.. no1 has heard of me... its always like dat.. no1 knws the youngest exist!..well i hope now they know!! haha..one girl i met knew about my existence many years before, wen my older sis told her dat she had a younger sis d same age as her... she could not b'live dat we finally got 2 meet each other..!! how cool is dat?? n i also met ppl whom i've heard of but neva seen.. met 2 more ppl who r d same 'species' as me..my Pershindian buddies.. :)

we had art workshops in d aft n vid show at nite.. learnt a lot n had a goooooood time wif em.. i was hungry ALL the time!! never ate sooooo much in my life!..this is wat cold weather does 2 u.. n the food tasted soo good.. i could not resist!
i miss every1 now.. wish i didnt hv 2 leave 2 days earlier... it was so sad cuz we only just got 2 know each other.. i miss u guys.. hope 2 c ya'll soon!
